Managing Copy Groups

Create and edit groups, Smart Sync, Close Followers when Leader Exits, pausing, halted groups, and the activity view.

Creating & Editing Groups

The copy group modal has three columns: available accounts on the left, the group's leader and followers in the middle, and the group settings on the right.

  • Click Create Group in Copy Groups.
  • Set one account as Leader and add one or more Followers. Each follower gets its own multiplier next to its name.
  • Choose the copy mode and switch Smart Sync and Close Followers when Leader Exits on or off.
  • Click Create. To change a group later, open it and click Edit; changes apply to the next trade.

If an account disappears from the broker, it shows as no longer available in its group. Edit the group to replace it, or let Refresh clean it up.

Smart Sync

Smart Sync checks every 2 seconds that each follower's position direction matches the leader. If a follower is long or short while the leader is flat or on the other side, the mismatched follower position is flattened. It compares direction only, not quantity, so scaled modes and multipliers work correctly.

A mismatch has to persist for about 6 seconds before Smart Sync acts. That filters out the split second where a follower's own fill arrives before the leader's position update, without letting a real mismatch linger. Follower exit orders that are already working get a moment to fill before Smart Sync closes at market.

Smart Sync catches missed copies, manual trades on follower accounts, partial fills, and reconnection gaps. It never opens a position, only closes one. It can be toggled per group and is on by default.

Close Followers when Leader Exits

When this is on, every follower flattens immediately once the leader's position reaches zero. It is on by default. Turn it off only if you want followers to manage their own exits.

With this off, followers may keep holding after the leader is flat. Make sure you have a plan for those positions.

Activating, Pausing & Resuming

Click a group's status dot to switch it between active and paused. Pausing stops new copies but does not close existing positions; working orders continue to fill or expire normally. Resuming turns copying back on, Smart Sync immediately checks for mismatches, and any tripped circuit breaker resets.

Pause groups around news events or maintenance windows rather than deleting them.

Halted Groups

Wogul halts a group on its own when it can no longer copy safely, and shows the reason on the group. The three triggers are a broker connection whose authentication broke and could not be renewed, a leader order whose type could not be identified, and a copy that would have put a follower on the wrong side of the market. A halt survives an app restart.

  • Click the halted group to read the reason.
  • Fix the cause: reconnect the broker, or check the follower positions against the leader.
  • Resume the group. It comes back paused, so activate it when you are ready to copy again.

Deleting a Group & the Activity View

Delete Group removes the group after a confirmation; positions on the accounts are left as they are. The Activity toggle at the top of Copy Groups switches to Recent Copy Activity, a feed of every copy the engine sent with its result. The Terminal at the bottom of the window has the same events in full detail.
