Connection problems, copy trading issues, and how to fix them.

Connection Issues

  • Token expired — Re-authenticate via OAuth (Tradovate) or re-enter your API key (TopstepX).
  • Rate limit 429 — Wogul auto-retries. If frequent, reduce simultaneous copy operations or pause some groups.
  • WebSocket disconnect — Auto-reconnects with backoff (0, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 120s). Restart the app if it doesn't recover.
  • Tradovate session limit — Max 2 concurrent sessions per login. A 3rd device disconnects the oldest.

Copy Trading Issues

If a follower isn't copying, check:

  • Is the copy group active (not paused)?
  • Is the follower account connected (green status)?
  • Is the symbol supported in the selected copy mode?
  • Has the Circuit Breaker tripped? (Pause and resume to reset.)

Position out of sync? Smart Sync auto-corrects within 2 seconds. For an immediate fix, pause and resume the group. Missing trades in history? Wogul only logs trades observed in real time — trades placed while offline won't appear.
